Before the kids went, I had them open some new Christmas shirts from Grandma Mary. I love having the boys in matching shirts although its getting harder to find enough shirts in the right sizes now that we have 4. I keep waiting for the day that they will fight me on this. Until then, I will continue to have them do some matching/coordinating clothes. I figure since I'm the one washing the clothes, I get to decide. It seems fair to me.

Our kids have participated in this Parents' Day Out the last few years and its awesome. Basically it entails dropping off our kids at church with some awesome volunteers who spend the whole day with them doing crafts, playing games and having cupcakes for Jesus' birthday. We pack them a lunch and the kids get to eat with their friends. Caleb went this year too, but we picked him up at 12 so he could come home and take a nap (apparently he didn't get the memo though and fought us on taking a nap until almost 2 pm when he finally gave up and went to sleep).
When Jon stopped in to get Caleb, he took a picture of the boys eating lunch with their friends (per my request).
I zoomed in on one of the pictures Jon took and that Aaron was attempting to cut his thumb with a pair of scissors.
When I asked Jon about it, he said he didn't notice that. Umm...not sure what is more disturbing? That Aaron was attempting to cut his thumb off? Or that Jon took a picture of him but didn't notice? Boys!!!
At any rate, the boys had a great time. And we spent the day getting ready for our big Christmas party which I posted about here under Day 9. It might not sound relaxing to you to spend a day baking, but it actually was for me. While I baked, Jon cooked chili and prepped veggies for the next day. We listened to Christmas music, talked, and ate lunch without having any spills or interruptions. It was lovely.
